Speaking and writing
12 -14 lessons hours every week
Contract: September 2017 - July 2018
Responsibilities
Plan and implement lesson plans based on a course syllabus.
Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate learning experience.
Engage students in discussing different topics and share ideas in various oral activities such as role-plays, games, PowerPoint presentation, speeches and debates.
Teach students narrative, expository and persuasive writing as well as grammar, organization and rhetoric methods.
Broaden students’ horizon by introducing a wide range of cultural topics.
Assign class work, homework, tests or other assignments; Grade them and provide feedback.
Perform certain pastoral duties including counseling, conversation hours, etc.
Participate in extracurricular activities such as drama contest, English clubs or other school organizations.
Requirement
Bachelor or Master Degree in Arts. A bachelor degree in English Language or a master degree in history, social science or psychology will be given favorable consideration
Optimistic and spirited attitude – demonstrate the resiliency needed to inspire and motivate others.
Experiences in teaching English at university level – Experience in advanced- intermediate English writing or TOEFL/IELTS writing is favorable
Effective teaching approaches – demonstrate the ability to engage students in speaking, writing and critical thinking.
